MISSION

LISTEC Schweisstechnik AG is the affiliate of the Swiss Welding Association (SVS), providing advice and expertise (design, fitness for service, drafting of technical procedures and specifications, etc.) as well as technical support in welding and related activities: metallurgy, materials, cutting, NDT, heat treatment, corrosion and corrosion protection.

Head of Welding & NDT · Hydro Exploitation SA — Sion
MISSION

Expertise and Development / R&D department — expertise in welding and non-destructive testing.

  • Responsible for the company’s ISO 3834-2 welding certification.
  • Expertise and technical support in welding and inspection for the design office and the hydropower plants.
  • Technical support, inspection and validation of welded fabrications produced in the workshop or on site.
  • Technical support and inspection of turbine and generator welded parts for the Nant-de-Drance project.
  • Writing of welding and manufacturing procedures for hydropower welded structures as required by design, building codes and customer specifications.
  • Training in the welding manufacturing process for the design office, the workshop and power-plant personnel.

MISSION

Development of a new European Industrial Engineering service. Welding Expert (grade “Principal Engineer”) of Alstom Renewable Power.

  • Expertise and technical support in welding for the European design offices (Grenoble, Belfort, Birr, Bilbao, Barcelona).
  • Expertise and validation of fabrications produced in Alstom Renewable Power’s internal workshops in India and China.
  • Writing of welding and manufacturing procedures for hydropower welded structures as required by design, building codes and customer specifications.
  • Training in the welding manufacturing process for European design offices, purchasing departments and workshops.
  • Development of solutions with the European design and purchasing offices to reduce the costs and lead times of hydropower welded components.
  • Management of a team of one engineer and three technicians.

Production Manager · Alstom Renewable Power — Grenoble
MISSION

Supervision and management of the Grenoble welding workshop (hydroelectric turbines, valves). Supervision of the Welding Methods department; training and monitoring of welders, grinders and boilermakers (up to 40 people managed directly).

  • Implementation of Alstom Hydro’s Lean Manufacturing (HMC) to improve the manufacturing process (welded assembly) and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Turbine manufacturing cycle reduced by 25% (9 months instead of 12) and part quality improved (welding defects down from 15% to 7%).
  • The Grenoble workshop received the Alstom Hydro awards for best 5S improvement 2009 and best 5S performance 2010.

Welding Engineer & Heat-Exchanger Industrialization Manager · Liebherr Aerospace — Toulouse
MISSION

Industrialization of the Airbus & Bombardier heat exchangers. Continuous improvement, cost reduction and cost monitoring of the heat exchangers.

  • Training, monitoring and qualification of welders; commissioned agent of the French Welding Institute for welder qualification.
  • NADCAP expert, trainer and auditor; company representative on the NADCAP welding committee and the French aeronautics welding standards committee.
  • Trainer in welding for the NADCAP aerospace certification at the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce from 2006 to 2008.
  • Solutions developed with the design, methods and purchasing departments to improve the manufacturing process (TIG welded assembly) and reduce heat-exchanger manufacturing costs: −5% in 12 months.

MISSION

Coordination of the production site’s industrial resources (methods, tooling…) for railway projects. Management of a team of 4 technicians.

  • Follow-up of the Shanghai metro and Paris MF2000 manufacturing projects.
